Program Description:
Marc T. Finer and Richard A. Marone will provide an overview of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, with particular emphasis on (a) estate & gift taxes and planning; (b) individual, business and fiduciary income taxes; and (c) business structuring.

Biographies: 
Marc T. Fine is a tax partner with Murtha Cullina LLP in Hartford, Connecticut. Marc’s work includes providing effective and innovative federal tax, multistate tax and business planning solutions for corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, investment entities and individuals and representing taxpayers in tax controversy matters.

Richard A. Marone advises individuals, families and private businesses in the areas of wealth transfer planning, business law and taxation. He assists individuals and private businesses with sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, tax planning and compliance, family business succession planning, and business transactions. Richard has been certified as a probate and trust dispute mediator by The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”). Richard also advises exempt organizations on taxation and governance issues.  Richard was Chair for the Estates & Probate Section of the Connecticut Bar Association from 2015-2017.
