The Honorable Kenneth L. Shluger will receive the
Edward F. Hennessey Professionalism Award at the CBA’s annual awards celebration,
Celebrate with the Stars, on Wednesday, July 22. Kenneth Shluger was sworn-in as a judge of the superior court in 2004 and is the presiding judge for family matters in the New London Judicial District.
Judge Shluger is an active member of the CBA and has chaired numerous committees and task forces, including the Standing Committee on Professionalism, Statewide Mentoring Task Force, and Task Force on the Future of Legal Education. He frequently speaks to civic organizations in schools and at bar association programs. For many years he has coached an inner city team in a statewide mock trial competition, mentoring and encouraging school children in undeserved communities.
The Edward F. Hennessey Professionalism Award recognizes and honors a member of the bar of this state whose career has manifested a dedication to the highest ideals and standards of the legal profession.
