Carlton S. Chen has been a business and employment law attorney at West Hartford-based Kurien Ouellette LLC for the past ten years. He also serves as of counsel at Jia Law Group PC, located in the New York Financial District. Prior to joining Kurien Ouellette, he served as vice president, general counsel, and secretary of West Hartford-based Colt’s Manufacturing Company for 16 years.
Attorney Chen is a recipient of the Connecticut Law Tribune Lifetime Achievement Award, Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Excellence in Corporate Practice Award, and Connecticut Asian Pacific American Bar Association (CAPABA) Impact Award. He is a James W. Cooper Life Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation; a member of the Board of Directors of Connecticut China Council; and a volunteer attorney for CBA Pro Bono Connect and Statewide Legal Services. He previously served in the CBA’s House of Delegates and is a member of the CBA Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee. He is also a Board member of CAPABA, ACC’s Westchester-Fairfield Corporate Counsel Association, Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute, Connecticut Yankee Council BSA, and the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce.
