On October 5, the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) hosted its second annual Pro Bono Volunteer Recognition Reception. The reception was held at the CBA building in New Britain and was attended by volunteers who participate in the CBA’s various pro bono programs throughout the year.
The evening began with the reception’s guests enjoying hors d’oeurves and refreshments while socializing with each other and leaders of the association. CBA President-Elect and Pro Bono Committee Co-Chair James T. Shearin addressed those in attendance, recognizing them for their exemplary commitment to providing pro bono representation. “I’m proud to be in front of you and say thank you for all that you’ve done, mostly because you are an example of what the rest of the bar needs to do,” stated President-Elect Shearin, who, following his remarks, presented each pro bono volunteer with a certificate of thanks for their participation in CBA pro bono programs.
