This program will consider intellectual property from the perspective of business owner representation. There are many legal issues implicated by the starting and running of a business, but it is easy for intellectual property issues to become overlooked amidst issues that may seem more urgent, such as organization formation and employment policies. What should a lawyer make sure a new business owner knows about intellectual property? How can future IP issues be prevented? What mistakes are most likely to occur while a new business is first generating IP? These and other questions will be touched on during this CLE.
