This spring the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS) organized a clothing drive of clean and excellent condition professional attire to benefit Save-A-Suit and Dress for Success Hartford. Countless pieces of professional attire were donated by CBA members at the CBA Law Center and law firms across the state.

Six Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Executive Committee members received awards at the YLS Golf Tournament and Year-end Alumni Event on Wednesday, May 9, at Hawks Landing in Southington.

On May 21, 33 CBA members were sworn into the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States.

The CBA Women in the Law Section in association with the CBA Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Women in the Law Committee honored former US Attorney Deirdre M. Daly as the 2018 recipient of the Ladder Award at, “Pathways to Leadership for Women Lawyers,” held on March 28 at the Sheraton Hartford South in Rocky Hill.

At their annual holiday party, the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Young Lawyers Section (YLS) collected gift cards and in-kind donations for My Sisters’ Place and monetary donations for the Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness’ be homeful project.

Nearly 200 new attorneys were sworn into the Connecticut bar at the Connecticut Supreme Court on November 3.

Members of the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) volunteered with Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity on Saturday, November 4.

On Tuesday, October 10, the Young Lawyers Section hosted their annual Pro Bono Fair at Quinnipiac University School of Law, as well as the University of Connecticut School of Law.

The CBA YLS held its annual legislative breakfast at the Legislative Office Building in Hartford on May 3.

The Women in the Law Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) in association with the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) honored Judge Maria A. Kahn of the Superior Court as the 2017 recipient of the Ladder Award.

On Wednesday, March 24, 2017, the CBA-YLS presented the Pre-Law Symposium at Quinnipiac University School of Law.

The Young Lawyers Section has been recognized as an ABA Young Lawyers Division "Affiliate Star of the Quarter.
