Creating a Safe and Welcoming Environment for Transgender Clients and Colleagues (EDI210428)
    Webinar
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Eastern Daylight Time)

Issues affecting transgender and non-binary individuals have appeared in the media with increasing frequency, but the concept of what it means to be transgender or non-binary is still new to many people. As lawyers meet more openly transgender or non-binary clients and colleagues, they need to know how to be respectful and understanding, starting with issues they may be facing. Please join us as we discuss gender identity, terminology and misconceptions, experiences of being a transgender practitioner, and the legal framework that protects gender identity and gender expression in Connecticut. Panelists will present topics of interest followed by a fireside chat with questions to follow.

The Importance of Networking and Building Connections (EPL210421)
    Webinar
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM (Eastern Daylight Time)

It is an attorney's duty to their client to provide the best advice and representation possible. While attorneys bring their expertise in the law to the attorney-client relationship, they may also be supporting clients in various aspects of their business and life. A strong network allows attorneys to offer service beyond their experience, giving them a strong back bench of knowledge to call upon for advice or for appropriate referrals. Networking is also the best way to acquire clients who will trust and rely upon your legal advice.
